WORD FOR TODAY SERIES - FOCUS ON THE PROMISE S57E02

TOPIC: FOCUS ON THE PROMISE AND NOT THE PROCESS
KEY BIBLE VERSE: Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.
Psalm 119:133 ESV

ORDERED STEPS
Story
I felt like I was in one of Stephen King's thrillers— and yet I remained calm. The mood at the second hospital was highly tensed. They could not get Mike's oxygen level stable, they were failing to get oxygen to his brain, and they became perplexed trying to figure out how to stabilize him. There were so many things that they "could not do" there. The doctors were not saying what we needed to hear, and I could tell they didn't believe they could do what was required to keep him alive. No worries here because I know God is always ordering my steps. I called my niece, an emergency room doctor we supported through her studies, and a doctor who attends our ministry. They immediately went to work to get Mike out of there. They called the third hospital in which the doctor in our ministry had a sister who worked as a nurse who worked for the only doctor that could get my husband transferred and put him on this machine.

*Lesson*
Before you were placed on the earth, God had a plan for everything that you would go through. You were predestined to be on the planet. Your loving Father would not have placed you here without provision. Would you do that to your child? No, you wouldn't. Well, the scripture in Matthew 7:11 tells us, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
Don't ever deduce that something God orchestrates is just coincidental. Isaiah 46:10 speaks of how God declares the end from the beginning. Everything you need has been laid out before you, but you will not see the steps He has ordered for you if you are all over the place. Remember the Holy Spirit is our helper, so acknowledge Him, and He will show you where to go. Your life is not an emergency to the Father. Trust Him with all of your heart because He loves you, and He is constantly perfecting things that concern you, according to Psalm 138:8.

*Faith Principle*
Remain Steady. You will know when you are not operating in faith because you start to change things when things look bad. Instead of switching your routine, stand in faith and allow God to guide your steps, remembering that He has met this day before you and has set the course for your victory.

Challenge
Write some of the promises that God has ministered to you through His Word regarding what you are facing? You will need to meditate on these scriptures to remain steady and unmoved as you face this challenge.

*Word Weapon*
"So, my dear brothers and sisters, stand strong. Do not let anything change you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your work in the Lord is never wasted." I Corinthians 15:58 NCV

PLS STAY TUNED FOR CONTINUATION TOMORROW BY GOD'S GRACE!

REMEMBER, WE LOVE YOU BUT GOD LOVES YOU MORE, STAY BLESSED, FOCUSED AND BE DETERMINED TO RULE YOUR WORLD!

Marriage Series 7: What Does The Bible Say About Divorce and Remarriage?

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE? First of all, no matter what view one takes on the issue of divorce, it is important to remember Malachi 2:16, “I hate divorce, says the LORD God of Israel.” According to the Bible, marriage is a lifetime commitment. “So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Matthew 19:6). God realizes, though, that, since marriages involve two sinful human beings, divorces are going to occur. In the Old Testament, He laid down some laws in order to protect the rights of divorcées, especially women ( Deuteronomy 24:1–4).  Jesus pointed out that these laws were given because of the hardness of people’s hearts, not because such laws were God’s desire (Matthew 19:8). The controversy over whether divorce and remarriage is allowed according to the Bible revolves primarily around Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:32 and 19:9 . The phrase “ except for marital unfaithfulness” is the only thing in Script...

Life Matters Nuggets

WHO ARE YOU? A lady committed a crime and she was sent to court. The punishment for the crime was life imprisonment. She shed tears for help but to no avail. When the case was called in court she started weeping. Her husband, family and friends who accompanied her started weeping but there was no hope. But something happened. Before the lady could stand in the witness box a man stood up and the court room was silent. Everyone looked at Him. He was noble and gentle. He stood in the witness box and interceded on behalf of the woman. The case was difficult, yet He used all His strength, energy and resources to fight on behalf of the woman. After a long legal battle between the man and the accusers, the lady was set free. The lady fell before the man and asked *'WHO ARE YOU'*  The next day the lady deliberately committed another crime and was sent to the same court.  As soon as she entered the courtroom, she saw the man who interceded for her the previous day on the judgement seat...
