7. Determine to Believe God’s Love For and Delight in You

We can believe with our minds the truths revealed in the Word of God, but when it comes to living, breathing and feeling them as truths about our own lives, that’s a little harder. A big part of our journey on Earth is learning to truly trust God and His Word through the details of our needy lives. Regardless of the messages from your past, set yourself on a quest to believe that God is absolutely thrilled about you and loves you dearly. It will change your life.


 As you trust His love for you more, ask Him to also reveal the joy of His presence. Seek it in all your circumstances – whether they are happy and exciting, dull and ordinary, or challenging and painful. He is good; He knows you perfectly, and His love never ends. He is there with you in all things, and there is strength in the joy found only in Him.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE? First of all, no matter what view one takes on the issue of divorce, it is important to remember Malachi 2:16, “I hate divorce, says the LORD God of Israel.” According to the Bible, marriage is a lifetime commitment. “So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Matthew 19:6). God realizes, though, that, since marriages involve two sinful human beings, divorces are going to occur.
