MARRIAGE HEALING SERIES - 31 DAY MARRIAGE RESET S62E10

TOPIC: 31 DAY MARRIAGE RESET: FORMING HEALTHY HABITS TO ENRICH YOUR MARRIAGE

KEY BIBLE VERSE: And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. But Jesus said, “No more of this!” And he touched his ear and healed him.

Luke 22:50‭-‬51 ESV

When you hurt your spouse, you hurt Christ, too.

•••

Think of someone you love unconditionally. How would you feel if someone was rude or harsh towards them? Not happy, right? It would probably hurt you too, huh? You know that’s exactly how God feels about your spouse? That’s His child you’re dealing with, and it hurts Him when they are hurt or treated wrongly. That is such a huge form of accountability in our marriage, personally. I love God so much that it moves me to love and respect my spouse  when it is a choice I have to make rather than a natural reaction. If the way you love God does not change the way that you love your spouse, then I wonder how much you love either of them. Ask God to help you reflect love to your spouse in reverence to your love for Him.

PLS STAY TUNED FOR CONTINUATION TOMORROW BY GOD'S GRACE!

REMEMBER, WE LOVE YOU BUT GOD LOVES YOU MORE, STAY BLESSED, FOCUSED AND BE DETERMINED TO COMPLEMENT YOUR SPOUSE AT ALL TIMES!

Marriage Series 7: What Does The Bible Say About Divorce and Remarriage?

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE? First of all, no matter what view one takes on the issue of divorce, it is important to remember Malachi 2:16, “I hate divorce, says the LORD God of Israel.” According to the Bible, marriage is a lifetime commitment. “So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Matthew 19:6). God realizes, though, that, since marriages involve two sinful human beings, divorces are going to occur. In the Old Testament, He laid down some laws in order to protect the rights of divorcées, especially women ( Deuteronomy 24:1–4).  Jesus pointed out that these laws were given because of the hardness of people’s hearts, not because such laws were God’s desire (Matthew 19:8). The controversy over whether divorce and remarriage is allowed according to the Bible revolves primarily around Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:32 and 19:9 . The phrase “ except for marital unfaithfulness” is the only thing in Script...

When the case was called in court she started weeping. Her husband, family and friends who accompanied her started weeping but there was no hope. But something happened. Before the lady could stand in the witness box a man stood up and the court room was silent. Everyone looked at Him. He was noble and gentle. He stood in the witness box and interceded on behalf of the woman. The case was difficult, yet He used all His strength, energy and resources to fight on behalf of the woman. After a long legal battle between the man and the accusers, the lady was set free.
