TOPIC: 7 WAYS TO SWEETEN YOUR NEW YEAR
BIBLE REF: 1 Thessalonians 5:11 AMP*,
_Therefore encourage and comfort one another and build up one another, just as you are doing._
_Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweet and delightful to the soul and healing to the body._
*Proverbs 16:24 AMP*
_Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]._
*Philippians 4:8 AMP*
2. Look for the Good, Bright and Positive in People
Looking for the good and positive traits in people lifts us up. It lightens the burden of negative feelings and increases our appreciation of them when we appreciate something – whether it’s a sunset, piece of art, or a trait in a person – we experience pleasure. Life is sweeter when we dwell on the good. God even tells us to do so. Whether you’re looking for bad or good in someone, you’re likely to find it. Follow God’s advice and look for the good in people, and you’ll discover that some sweet things will happen in your spirit.
While you’re at it, go ahead and speak affirmation to the people about the good you see in them. Feelings of insecurity and inadequacy are more common than you might think. It’s always good to hear encouraging words from others. You never know the depth of a person’s fight to believe they’re OK, valuable, and “enough.” Whether to a non-Believer or a Believer, a sincere expression of affirmation can make someone’s day. It’s very likely to make yours, as the giver, too.
PLS STAY TUNED FOR CONTINUATION TOMORROW BY GOD'S GRACE!
REMEMBER, WE LOVE YOU BUT GOD LOVES YOU MORE, STAY BLESSED, FOCUSED AND BE DETERMINED TO STAND OUT!
